An exhibition of contemporary art
In this exhibition at the Museum of Classical Archeology in Cambridge, the artists from GUIRLANDEN take a curious look at the classical reproductions in the Cast Gallery.
Each member of the artists’ association comments and interprets the Greco-Roman sculptures in site-specific works, creating actualizations of the very heritage of ancient art in the present – with a focus on the complex of narratives, forms and ideas that sculptures of antiquity represent.
